Poros is situated in the Saronic gulf and is
part of the Argo - Saronic Islands. It is only
a short trip of 35 miles south west of
Piraeus [Port of Athens]
Poros is well served by a range of ferries,
and hydrofoils all year round from the
Port of Athens [ Piraeus] On average there
are 5 journeys per day to and from Poros.

As a rough guide it is advisable to arrange flights that arrive in Athens no later that 15.30 and Depart Athens no earlier than 12.30 [times are
approx] These times will ensure that you have enough time to get to and from Athens airport to Piraeus for the ferry. Times are more flexible in
mid summer.
If there are 4 or more in your group or your flight times do not suit the ferry times we can arrange a private transfer from Athens airport direct to
Poros, please enquire at time of booking for current price. This journey will take around 2hrs 30min. Cost € 165 approx for up to a group of 5
The transport system in and around, Athens airport [ATH] and Piraeus is modern and efficient and the Greek ferry transportation services are
excellent. The journey has 3 stages.
1. Express bus from Athens airport to Piraeus takes approximately 45 minutes cost 5 Euro.
2. Ferry or Hydrofoil from Piraeus to Poros. Ferry takes around 2 hours, costs 12 Euro Hydrofoil takes 1 hour and costs 25 Euro.
3. Taxi from Poros port to Odyssey Suites or similar Poros destination, takes 6 minutes cost 4 Euro.
