History has shown us the immense health benefits provided by following the traditional roots of the
Mediterranean diet with its unique ingredients, these are essential to maintain longevity. Recently
the governments of Greece, Italy, Spain and Morocco have asked that UNESCO designate the
Mediterranean diet an “intangible piece of cultural heritage.”
This Greek cooking holiday week explores the origins of Greek food, its key ingredients and the
Mediterranean diet. We will explore all these important aspects in detail through fun and exciting
cooking activities, we will only use simple ingredients that were available in years gone by and we
will cook and prepare these using non modern equipment and techniques.
