Introduction: Since 2007 we have been organising this unique holiday vacation. 2012 is now you
opportunity to join us for a unique fantastic and fun packed week in Greece. The Greek Islands are
one of the best locations in Europe for sea kayaking. The Greek islands provide breathtaking
scenery and ideal protection from wind and waves. The Mediterranean has minimal tidal rage and
the water is turquoise and warm making it a perfect paddling destination. The Greek hospitality is
great, English is spoken and understood well and the Greek food is marvelous - the local area is also
rich in culture and history, a perfect place for a memorable vacation for paddlers, non paddlers and
their friends.
Your hosts and guides for this full week will be Brian Gibbons, Activities Director
[Adventure Tourism Services UK] British Canoe Union certified Sea kayaking coach, and Katerina
Sakelliou, manager of Odyssey Holiday Centre on Poros Island - occasionally other English speaking
guides are used.
Dates for 2012: The perfect months for summer travelling and vacationing in Greece are June and
September when the beaches are quieter the humidity is generally low and the day and night
temperatures are more moderate and comfortable.
Week 1: June 12th to June 19th
Week 2: June 19th to June 26th
Week 3: September 2nd to Sept 9th
Other dates are available for family or group bookings min 4 [Excluding first 3 weeks in August ]
Guests: This exclusive customised vacation/holiday /trip is limited to twelve guests the perfect
size for adventure and fun. Kayakers of any level are welcome, complete novices to experienced
paddlers - orientation sessions are provided to assist beginners with familiarisation of the boats
and practice basic skills before participating in longer kayaking excursions. The kayaking trips vary
in content, locations visited, distance travelled and all vacation days are combined with other tours
and adventures. All guests are offered plenty of activity choices. You can participate in everything,
opt out of any activity to relax at the beach, shop, explore. Family groups are welcome. See

Price: 949 Euro: Discounts may be available for families, groups and returning guests. Airfare is

Included in the 2012. To keep this vacation as economical as possible, all guiding services will
only commence after your arrival on Poros Island or [in the Athens by prior arrangement.]
Welcome reception evening with mezes and drinks at Odyssey centre on Poros Island
Seven nights accommodation – On all vacation trips accommodation is provided in private
maisonette suites located 50 yards from the beach, each has full ensuite facilities. These suites can
be shared by two singles, one couple, one family or a group of friends [max 4]
Seven group gourmet Greek dinners with wine
Seven full breakfasts
All equipment and certified instruction for guided sea kayaking and for other activities listed.
Multiple half day, full day sea kayaking excursions, including fantastic sunrise and sunset
adventures.
Two days of bicycle rental with two guided tours
Snorkeling activities
Guided walks - Local historical and museum visit included.
Full day guided excursion by hydrofoil boat to Hydra Island

Reservation: A non refundable deposit of 400 Euro per person is required to reserve your place.
Balance of payment is due 3 months before arrival date, or by other arrangement.
Location and Travel: Poros Island is located in the Saronic Gulf, 35 miles south west of Athens
Greece. You are required to arrange your own transportation to Athens, Greece (airport code: ATH)
and then by ferry to Poros Island, which is a 1 hour journey by Hydrofoil [fast boat] or 2 hours by
slower conventional ferry from Piraeus [Port of Athens] You could also spend a few days in Athens or
visit other destinations in Europe before or after this adventure trip. Every confirmed customer will
receive personal support in assisting with the necessary trip preparations, including a complete
documentation of trip information which includes all necessary travel and vacation details to assist
you learn what to expect, how to prepare, and what to bring.
